TF1000 Description: A small biofuel system designed for the individual that has a single car or truck. The TF1000 has a very small footprint, it can easily fit in the trunk of a car, and even when full this unit can be moved easily if need be. It is a very simple system to operate and service.
Output: Up to 32 Gallons/hour (This system features a 12 volt pumping system and is not rated for continuous use. System should be run for 1-2 hours then turned off for 30 minutes to allow the pump to cool down.)
Power Supply: 12 volt (connect leads to a battery or inverter for power)
Filter Overview: The TF1000 consists of : 1- 10 micron stainless steel strainer 1- 1 micron PFC filter, a custom designed filter specifically used to filter petro based fuels 1- FP-1 Filtration Media Assembly, designed to remove any type of acid, water, antifreeze, and paraffin. Unit Maintenance:
1- Every 100 gallons the 10 micron stainless steel screen filter located inside the tank needs to be cleaned. Simply blow the debris off the screen with compressed air, carb cleaner, or starting fluid and put the screen back on the pickup tube. 2- Every 500 gallons remove the 1 micron PFC filter. Removal is done by loosening the clamp that secures the filter housing to the side of the tank. With the supplied filter housing wrench, unscrew the bottom of the housing pull the old filter out, discard, and replace with a new filter. Tighten the bottom of the housing and tighten the clamp that holds the housing to the tank. The TF1000 comes with 2 extra filters and additional filters can be purchased here on the website for $10.00 each, plus shipping. Calculate a filter cost, including shipping, of $15 for every 500 gallons. 3- Once a year the FP-1 filtration media should be taken out of the tank, inspected for swelling, then placed in a bucket of clean diesel fuel for 30 minutes. Also this is a good time to clean the inside of the tank by flushing it with clean diesel fuel. NEVER use soap/water to clean the inside of the tank. After the FP-1 has soaked for 30 minutes, drop it back inside the tank and you are ready to process fuel once again. You should expect to replace the FP-1 filtration media every 5,000 gallons, a replacement costs $150.00 and this works down to $0.03 per gallon
Costs: It costs $0.06 per gallon to process 500 gallons of fuel ($0.03 per gal. for FP-1 media and $0.03 per gal. for the PFC filter)
Unit Payback: -100 gallons of used oil processed in 1 month -blended at a 50/50 ratio with diesel fuel -with a diesel fuel average of $3.00/gal.
$300 saved each month and a payback time of 3 months and 15 days. Beyone just information on alternative fuels, we have products that either create the fuel or help your engines utilize the fuels.
